5 Things You Can Do To Prevent Sugar Cravings Ruining Your Fat Loss

Sugar Cravings

If/when you get them I want you to use the 5 following foods/supplements to help you overcome this unfortunate and fat accumulating habit!

Coconut Oil-

If you have a slightly sluggish metabolism, coconut oil is for you!!
It is worth noting the role of coconut oil in the suppression of Candida. Candida is yeast (fungus) that lives in our gut. Normally, this will do little harm as our probiotic bacteria deal with it. But, when we consume antibiotics, toxic foods or suffer daily stress, the Candida thrives, leading to many symptoms including weight retention and infections.

Coconut Oil contains a lot of medium chain fatty acids which help to fire up the fat burning furnace that is your metabolism. These medium chain fatty acids are responsible for the Herxheimer reaction. This reaction is one that rapidly kills yeast toxins and Candida.

The Lauric acid in coconut oil, which is only found in mother’s milk otherwise, is a great source of antimicrobial and anti viral properties, aiding your immune support system. It has been found that by eating one teaspoon of coconut oil per day that you can boost your metabolism by up to 48%! That is amazing!

2. Cinnamon-

This has been found to contain a type of antioxidant that increases insulin sensitivity, and helps to stabilize blood sugar, which means you’ll store less fat. Bonus. Load up with a teaspoon of this in your diet each day by adding it to oats, pancakes, drinks (smoothies with protein and alkaline vegetables) , or anything else! You can even mix it up with a little coconut oil and just eat it like that as a little pre training snack.

3. Magnesium

This is another mineral that helps with glucose transport and insulin sensitivity. I also love to use this one to help prevent sugar cravings and it’s a natural muscle relaxant.

4. Almond Butter

I love this, and often find myself snacking on it and raw carrots when I get sugar cravings. On the plus side, almonds are also alkaline, so yet again reducing stress on the digestive system.

5. L-Glutamine

This is one amino acid found naturally in red meats. This has been found to significantly impact on blood sugar regulation and insulin secretion.

With lots of benefits of supplementation of up to 1000mg per day, including improvements in Concentration and attentiveness, memory, work and productivity, alertness and mood.

Hope you find these helpful.

Have a great day,

Matt
