6 Ways To Feel Alive Again…. I used them this weekend!
I was on my stag do this weekend
A couple of things happened for the first time, I woke up in a dress
……….and yep I drank alcohol…………
First time in 3.5 years in fact……
One of my mates said to me, “do you feel guilty about drinking” and what I was doing…..
He was pleased when I said “no, not at all.”
Sure I knew that it wasn’t good for me, after all combining a depressant with a stimulant is pretty dumb…….
But the reason I didn’t feel guilty , one little bit……is simply because I knew that I was in control.
Same goes for people who stray from their nutritional plan from time to time, hey we all do that, myself included….so chill about that please.
You see I knew what I was going to do….it wasn’t like it was never going to stop.
I knew when I was going to stop, why I was going to stop and and what I was going to do to get myself back on track.
So here are 6 things you can do that I did on my stag weekend to make sure I am staying true to what I believe in and make sure my health was restored ASAP…because it is important.
1. I took Lean Greens with me in my bag….infact most of the lads on the trip (19 of them) also did it. Now without sounding big headed, most of mates trust me when it comes to training and nutrition so when I said what I was going to do they were keen to get involved. I actually drank it every morning when first waking to help re oxygenise my blood and alkalise my shocked system. This stuff is absolute gold dust to me, there are other cheaper ones on the market but those of you who read my stuff will know why I think this is head and shoulders above the rest.
2. I took my tulsi tea…..its an acquired taste…..but the leafs are absolutely loaded with anti oxidants and for me it just made perfect sense….only thing is …I should have packed more tea bags….the old man thought he would steal some from me!
3. Water….yep surprise surprise, I was the first out of bed in the morning to get my water bottles filled up. If you are going to detoxify , you need water my friend. I recommend about 1 litre per 50lbs of body weight…depending on what you are doing, muscle mass and climate.
4. I walked about for at least 1-2 hours per day…in the sunshine. Another great way to help improve the flow of oxygen to the muscles to help improve the repair process.
5. Come Monday….needless to say I was very tired….sleeping on a rock isn’t ideal…but I was straight in my infra red sauna as soon as I had a sleep. The benefits range from improved circulation to joints, to toxin excretion, reduced stress and improved circulation. Not to mention how good yoru skin feels when you get out. One of the major benefits of this type of sauna over a conventional one is the fact it doesn’t become so humid, so most people can tolerate higher temperatures and get a better detoxification. I will be opening up this sauna as part of our programmes and to a limited number of the general public in the near future.
6. Back on the magnesium citrate again come Monday evening…..magnesium is a magnificent mineral, that is not only a muscle relaxant but an essential part of the detoxification process. Helping to drive toxins out of the body. I take it two hours before bed as it helps me sleep too.
So there we go, if you are planning a big weekend, but don ‘t want to feel like a train wreck for the rest of the week, then get on this. It worked for me.
I have been able to train twice and get straight back into the swing of things and attack life, as I want to live it again.
If you need a kick up the bum then why not get a copy of my 7 day detox plan and start it yourself, or if you need to start training we have a Blast Fitness Camp starting on Monday 2nd June in Launceston and Tintagel if you are keen to be part of a results based programme where you are part of a special group of people who support each other towards a healthier lifestyle.
Have a great day,
