5 Ways These Guys Got These Results

5 Ways These Guys Got These Results

Here are 5 simple ways to make sure that day in day out you can optimise your health.

  1. Strengthen Up– many studies show that strength exercises such as weight training and bodyweight resistance training can help to build muscle tissue which will help take pressure off joints and stimulate bone regeneration. I got these guys doing between 10 and 30 minutes of strength training between 3 and 5 times per week. We added into this some cardiovascular and core stability and the results after just 6 weeks are there to be seen.

  1. Rev Up Metabolisms- on average metabolisms can slow down by 5% every 10 years of our adult lives, which for many results in reduced energy levels and unwanted weight gain or more accurately changes in body composition. Exercise helps stimulate the thyroid and hormones to maintain muscle mass, thus having an impact on resting metabolic rate. Be careful what you put on your plate and in your mouth (contrary to popular belief…we are actually in charge of that). This is crucial for guys, as the “male menopause” is an actual thing. Testosterone can become suppressed as oestrogen increases. This in part isn’t helped by the influence of alcohol which is highly oestrogenic and is part of the reason we see more guys with man boobs these days.

  1. Look after your immunity… This programme they did wasn’t all about smashing out the training and hustling….it was a lot more educated than that……The nutritional plan was based around making sure they were getting in the key micronutrients to avoid those colds. Green veggies and other colourful vegetables contain lots of antioxidants which help to reduce the impact of foreign bodies and free radicals that we become exposed to in times of toxicity. Magnesium and zinc are known protectors of the immune system, with the former being particularly helpful for the heart as it is involved in relaxation.

  1. Sharpen Up– yep mentally many people need to take a step back in order to move forwards, so mindfulness, being present and sleep are key! BUT focusing on challenging yourself mentally as well as physically. My clients love it (maybe a strong phrase) when I get them counting reps at 6:20am on a Monday…..but its all part of the plan….nourish the body and the mind!

  1. Look after your heart…… load up on your vitamin C foods. Vitamin c is involved in the formation and synthesis of collagen which provides strength to the structures of our vascular system.  With this in mind, it actually helps people look younger! Vit C is much more than just an antioxidant and comes in many other foods outside of the typical citrus fruits…..including cauliflower, kiwi’s, sweet potato and strawberries. These were all foods that featured highly within their plan.
