A Success Story (or 3), A Charity Challenge and Respect
Ok, so if you follow me on Facebook and Twitter you will know that recently we have been helping men and women lose an awful lot of inches and make life changing impacts on medication prescription and lifestyles.
Here is a little testimonial that Claire wrote to me with yesterday.
To know that the study that I do and actually getting it out there to help people is worth it is fantastic.
RESULTS and EXPERIENCE is what I aim for.
“I have a busy and stressful job which was impacting on home life. I was tired all the time, my eating habits were appalling and more often than not it was easy to reach for the red wine. I had a car accident earlier in the year which meant that I was unable to exercise as I had been used to. Needless to say the weight had begun to pile on, none of my clothes were fitting comfortably and I was feeling pretty miserable.
I needed a kick start, some inspiration and motivation to get going. (I had made a tentative query to Matt through the website, but had chickened out at the last moment!). I saw the advert for Blast Fitness Camp on my FB page so I bit the bullet, contacted Matt and signed up!
I was hoping that by taking part in the programme I would kick start my metabolism, begin to feel good about myself and lose some weight so that I could fit back into my now idle wardrobe.
The programme has been incredible.
The weekly diet and nutrition sheets were easy to follow and my meals could be planned week by week. The exercise programme was easy to follow and gave me the option of fitting short bursts of exercise into a busy lifestyle. The “live sessions” have been particularly enjoyable – I even don’t mind getting up at 5.45am on a Monday and Friday morning J
Matt was always on hand to answer any questions, give support or advice. The private FB page allowed our group to communicate with each other and ask any questions.
As I am still nursing an injury, Matt has always ensured the exercise has been appropriate for me and suggesting an alternative where necessary.
The programme has been easy to fit into my busy working week. To begin with it was time consuming, as I had to rethink the way I approached shopping and cooking.
I “meal prep”, so that my meals are portioned and prepared for the week ahead. I cook in batches – freezing meals for the times when I know I’m particularly busy. Now the nutrition and exercise are part of my routine and I plan my life around these rather than the other way around!
6 weeks down the line I have lost over a stone in weight, lost inches from all over my body and have dropped a dress size. More importantly the programme has given me a new lease of life – I am more positive in my outlook and seem to have endless energy.
So my advice to anyone considering jumping on board? DO IT! There will be some tricky moments; the “before” photos are a must (but not a pleasant experience!!) and the green smoothies (I hated smoothies but am now a convert!!).
Now to my next challenge…………..”
Here is what Bruce had to say after I helped him lose 3 inches off his waist.
“Evening matt,
First of all thank you very much for the last 6 weeks.
I first came to you with the issue of my chest/cough, after months of tests by doctors etc you took on the challenge to try and sort me out.
After the first 3 weeks it’s fair to say I noticed a huge difference, even with little issues with the foods you always had an answer. Morning blast sessions were a brilliant way to start the day, great motivation and superb workouts. The 5th week in was where I started to notice the biggest difference, cough had completely disappeared, and chest pains where a thing of the past, and managing to complete the full 40 mins in the morning with no rest.
Would recommend you to any one mate, always there to answer any questions and you really do know all there is to know about turning peoples health around, appreciate it a lot.
Thanks,
Bruce”

Charity Challenge
A challenge day organised by myself and Nick Lane (Owner of NL Fitness). We have invited our clients who we felt would enjoy the 5 different challenges we have set out for the day. We are holding this in aid of Children’s Hospice South West to help children who may never get the opportunities to take part in fun events like we do. Teams of 4 will compete in 5 different events that challenge teamwork, various modalities of fitness and that comfort zone. We are putting on a lunch for our clients and also some goody bags for the winning team. If you would like to donate a little prize for the winning team of 4 that would be awesome and you can do this by contacting me (info@fa-fitness.co.uk) and we will arrange that, I cant see them getting excited about the beetroot and sweet potato that I have put in there (I haven’t really)…..we need some cooler prizes.

p.s. Next time I will be helping give a few tips on de cluttering your life to free up space to make changes. Also I have found a great website, that you can create a wish list (it was only launched this week) that will help stop you from getting un wanted gifts that will further clutter your house this Christmas. Without being ungrateful, it is obviously better to get people things they use right…..Less is more 🙂
