Dreams, Actions & Martyn’s 22Lb Video

Morning …….

 

Today needs to start like this…….

 

Do your actions reflect your dreams?

 

People often talk about living the dream…… but are their “dreams”

what they really want…….

 

Or do they actually behave in a way that will enable them to get

their “dream” situation……

 

You see……….

 

A lot of people say they want to be the best, to be “the best they

can” but they don’t act like it.

 

People say oh I wish I had your will power to do x,y,z……no you

don’t, because it’s not important to you.

 

I bet you get that in different circles, whether it be work

colleagues asking how you stay away from the tea and coffee,

friends asking just how do you find time to train or older family

members just saying “well look at me it didn’t hurt me did it!”

 

On Sunday I ran a race, it was 13.1 miles. Now, this is exactly how

I thought before the race……. “I may never be the best half marathon

runner but I will act like one and one thing is for sure I will be

better….today I will be better than before and more than half of

that comes from me believing I will be better. Sure enough, my

preparation was good and I got a personal best .

(excellent, high 5 to me…. hahaha)

 

Same goes for you today, whatever your goal, whether it be to be a

better parent, be a better friend, be better in your hobby, get in

better shape or feel better than you do now…there’s only one

person who can change this, it is you!

 

You have “BE” or “DO” all of the above you cannot just THINK about it!

 

This is what happens when you start doing things for you……not

because your friends perceive it as cool or sexy ……because it

matters to you.

 

You have to take the first step…… EXACTLY as Martyn did just a

few weeks back.

 

There aren’t obstacles there are opportunities!

 

This video was less than perfect , a slight unexpected event half

way through but all the same I know that Martyn’s journey so far

will inspire many people.

 

He does mention:

 

1.      Self esteem

2.      Temptation

3.      “Superb results”

4.      Reducing blood pressure

5.      Will power

6.     Losing his belly
