What Have They Been Up To Now…..
Nothing like rolling round in the mud with 25 other “adults”…..
At the weekend we took a team of 25+ to Rock Solid obstacle race near Exeter, Devon.
In case you haven’t heard of it before, its basically a 5,10 or 15Km run (well jog really) through a beautiful estate.
However in the way are 40+ obstacles and challenges to test your fitness and ability to tolerate skips of ice!!!
Fortunately this time I got the venue right……yea last time we did an event, I ended up about 70 miles out and only just made the start line…..
So with the team all prepped, most of whom have been doing our “Team Training” it was time to get the show on the road at 10:40am.
The aim of the game for us is sticking together and working together as a team and no one gets left behind…..although Mike and I did a good job at stuck in a bog at one point!
For me the and a fair few of the team, the favourite obstacle this year was the water slide! Brilliant fun!
This sort of event is a great way to have fun whilst having the focus of a challenge to keep you on track with your training. It’s not really about how fast you can run it. More about how much mud you can get in your ears that you still dig out on Monday before work.
Then afterwards its always great to chill out, have a drink together and reflect on who made the biggest fool of themselves …..this prize normally goes to Chris ……one of our keenest mud runners……always keen for laugh!
So the team have a couple of weeks off now, before the next block of training commences on April 8th, in which we are going to be holding a couple of mini events ourselves as part of the 9 week programme.
If this is something you want to get involved with, just head to

Pop your details in the box and if any places become available for the programme we will be able to inform you straight away.
Ok that’s it now….I am just off to pick out the rest of the mud from my ears and catch up on some of the videos that one of our team shot with her go pro!
