Poking With Sticks and A Chemical Circus

Because that will solve it!

Yep I just swore, sorry not meant to do that…….

 

But there’s no other way to put it!

 

I have been guilty of this too, so don’t worry I am certainly 100% not “holier than thou”……in fact far from it……….

 

BUT

 

I have taken action….

 

You know on Tuesday I mentioned about removing three crappy habits you have gotten into top open up more opportunities in your life……

Well yep I have……….

 

I had this project…..for me it’s a BIG deal! I have been dilly dallying around getting frustrated by something I wasn’t dealing with.

 

Poking shit with a stick

 

I needed more head room on my facility that I am going to be building in the next year.

 

Without going into the specifics…..all I actually needed to do was make a choice, take action and go and do it!

 

I kept saying to myself at the beginning of the week………..

 

YOU CAN , YOU JUST CHOSE NOT TOO!

 

This annoyed me because I am not like that normally!

 

Now this is not an invitation to accept high 5’s or anything like that, but just a simple illustration that often what holds you back from doing what you want is YOUR MIND telling you not to.

 

Subconsciously we self sabotage and  get distracted by un important events and goings on!

 

Allowing ‘things’ that really are irrelevant in the big picture distract us.

 

If I give you health and fitness examples…

 

–       People worry about how long they train for not what they did whilst they were there

–       We worry about how many calories are in something rather than what the calories are made up of…. 100% sugar but its 50 calories and contains ridiculous numbers of MSG’s and High Fructose Corn Syrup!

–       Whether they have had the right pre workout formula when they friggin drank wine the night before when they say they are desperate to sleep better and wake up feeling shite!

–       Whether they should be taking this protein powder when my grandma tried harder at her last session and didn’t eat a pop tart for lunch…………

 

We have to get this in perspective and start being real……..

 

I am all for watching your macro/micro nutrients, post workout drinks, training specifically for your goal…..

 

BUT

 

If you have too many shitty habbits at the top of your funnel…..

 

You really have to address…

 

  1. Sleep patterns ( get to bed by 10pm 5 x per week)
  2. What you drink  (herbal teas and water)
  3. what you eat ( nothing that looks like a chemical circus in a box)
  4. how you talk to yourself  ( stop being a prisoner of your thoughts)

 

Then you can start getting funky with it and ramp up the results!

Oh and incase you are wondering about my retreat to Namibia where we will be staying in a private game reserve ( oh an by the way its an education centre, so if you are a nutter who likes to think its cool to shoot lions and take pictures with them you aren’t welcome) , with a private chef, health and fitness coaching with yours truly,  in a nice villa with its own pool, then heading to the Skeleton coast  for a spot of whale watching/ sky diving (what ever suits you)……..

 

I have had 2 of the 4 places have been provisionally booked by clients this week after just mentioning it to them, the itinerary has been written up and we have set a date for the seminar….
