Hows your day going?
When you first started something new, think about why you did that?
If you have exercised why did you start?
If you haven’t trained properly before and reaped the rewards, perhaps think about why you might start?
I bet part of it was to do with how you look, after all we all want to look good and be comfortable with the body we are wearing.
For most though, this really isn’t enough, we think it is to start with but we soon find out there is more to it!
It’s about getting your energy levels up, getting your ‘mojo” back and being part of something that consistently makes you feel good even when you don’t feel like doing anything!
…yep it happens to everyone, you aren’t alone, so give yourself a virtual kick up the backside and get cracking , because as far as I am aware you only get one crack at this.
Your reason…..Maybe its being more productive at work , in your business.
Perhaps it makes you feel more confident in social situations or around peers?
Maybe its being able to run around with the kids, take them on days out, take them to the beach and play without feeling like you cant keep up.
Maybe its so you can walk you daughter down the isle one day feeling proud of who you are (that was actually one of my clients goals)
—— weight loss gets boring——-
Frankly, I have never been an advocate of scales, they bore me and they will definitely bore you at some point if they don’t already!
You here of people going on these faddy diets, wont mention any names, who weigh in every week, some of them every day, just drink juices, just eat cabbage blah blah blah!
They lose 8lbs in a week, life is “amazing”…… then next week shock horror they gained alb…their life is a “misery” ……but they missed the point….. the process to get there was wrong, rarely principle based and largely about restriction rather than exploration and understanding of what their bodies NEED to be healthy.
So after a while you can see how this yo-yo- scale hopping craze gets depressing and boring!

Now we can get people to “lose weight”, you will have seen all of our before and after photos!
BUT the difference is, they are exercising as part of a proper training system that we developed and whilst burning fat they gaining muscle tissue which fires up metabolism, creating better soft tissue strength and joint mobility and stability which makes them feel like they can jump out of bed in the morning and take on the world……..

3 Peaks–
This weekend I am taking a group of clients and a couple others up to do the 3 Peaks. Last year one of my current clients approached me to help him train to do this.
He knew he needed to lose a bit around the middle and that he did.
Losing several inches off his waist and approximately a stone….he became inspired by how he began to feel.
He is a very busy man, who runs his own business, and decided that enough was enough, he had to start looking after himself.
He has since done a Rock Solid obstacle race, he’s cycled 91 miles last saturday from Launceston to Land Ends, goes out walking each weekend, runs after work and now his partner has been so inspired by his change that she is working with me to look immense on her wedding day in December!
And now he is doing it again! This time round, he wants to be faster!
Told you its more than just losing weight!
Tough Mudder–
Yep check this video out of the guys and girls getting ready for Tough Mudder in Cardiff later in September…..its great to get them outside using their bodies and having great fun with other like minded people.
Black Belt Karate–
3 years in the making…yep another one of my clients recently passed his black belt. We have been working together for about 3 years and the dedication this guy has shown (he has two children and his own business…..no excuses from him though) is phenomenal.
In his own words….” Matt I felt like if I was competing in an olympic event I would have won that day”…..he nailed his nutrition, his training was so focused after he signed up for his grading date.
Its always funny when we have a date in mind, everything moves faster.
I will ask him to write a review……I have no doubt it will inspire you!
6 Shots Off Her Handicap-
Only yesterday one of my personal clients, told me that since the start of 2013 she has knocked 6 shots off her handicap, from 16-10, now that is cool if you are a golfer, you will know just how much effort that takes.
Part of a Team full of GB rowers in France–
One of my longest standing clients, recently went to France to compete with a group of Team GB rowers in a race out there, in which they won!
She was thrilled, another mum, in fact actually a grandparent, whose husband has been unwell, moved house and they own a business that is now over 100 miles from their current house, to which she drives twice a week.
She finds time!
World Triathlon Champs-
yep on Sunday 15th September what was once a dream will become a reality for one of my clients, as she represents Team GB in the age group world champs in Hyde Park.
I am hoping to get up there to witness this amazing , day and I am thrilled to have been part of this journey to date!
